Terms of Service

By accessing or using ReadFree ("Service", "Site", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You may create an account using your email address or via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account.

We offer authentication via Google OAuth 2.0. By using Google Sign-In, you authorise ReadFree to access your Google account name, email address, and profile picture for the purpose of account creation and authentication only.

Your use of Google Sign-In is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You may revoke ReadFree's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions.

ReadFree provides access to a library of free eBooks in exchange for your email address. By submitting your email, you consent to receive the requested eBook and our email newsletter. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.

Free eBooks are provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense any free content obtained through the Service.

Certain products (bundles, resource kits, publisher access) require payment. All payments are processed securely by Razorpay. By making a purchase, you agree to Razorpay's terms and authorise the charge to your selected payment method.

• All prices are displayed in INR unless otherwise stated.
• Payments are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as stated in our refund policy.
• We reserve the right to change pricing at any time with reasonable notice.
• Failed payments may result in loss of access to paid features.

Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are generally final. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing purchased content, contact us at legal@myreadfree.com within 7 days of purchase and we will work to resolve the issue or issue a refund at our discretion.

The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted content and publisher-uploaded eBooks), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of ReadFree and its licensors.

Publisher-uploaded eBooks remain the intellectual property of their respective authors and publishers. ReadFree is granted a non-exclusive licence to host and distribute such content through the Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.

Publishers who upload content to ReadFree agree that:

• They own or have the right to distribute all uploaded content.
• Uploaded content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
• ReadFree may display, distribute, and promote the content through the Service.
• Revenue sharing and payout terms are governed by the separate Publisher Agreement.
• ReadFree reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Service without written permission.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to damage or disrupt the Service.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use automated means to create accounts or access the Service in bulk.
• Resell or redistribute free eBooks obtained through the Service.

By creating an account or downloading a free eBook, you consent to receive transactional emails (download links, purchase confirmations) and, where indicated, marketing emails. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional communications related to your account or purchases.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The eBooks and information provided through the Service are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute professional medical, legal, financial, or other advice. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional before acting on any information obtained through the Service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, READFREE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO READFREE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us at legal@myreadfree.com.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at legal@myreadfree.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
